Dark, glossy, strap-like foliage that arches gracefully. Light violet/blue flowers on a 4 to 4.5 foot flower stalk. Agapanthus make good background plants or edging along a fence, driveway, or wall.

Asparagus retrofractus "Ming Fern"

Very hardy fern which can take some morning sun. Fronds are like little "pom poms", not sticky but soft. Drought tolerant, height reaching 4 to 6 ft. Zones 8-10.

Asparagus  Meyersii "Fox Tail Fern"

Evergreen arching perennial that has feathery, needle-like, stems. Its growth habit is very dense and it produces tail-like fronds for a fluffy "Foxtail" look.

Gaura "siskiyou pink"

Bright pink flowers resembling tiny butterflies flutter above the foliage from early summer into fall. As the flowers age, they turn a deeper, rosier pink. This plant forms a compact, basal mound of finely textured, dark green leaves that are often splashed with red. The flower stems are long, thin wands which blow freely in the wind while the flowers look like a cloud of butterflies. It is very drought and heat tolerant. Height - 18". Full sun to part shade.  Zones 5-9.

Justicia carnea - Jacobinia - Pink Flamingo Flower           

Gorgeous perennial (evergreen in frost-free climates) growing up to 3-4 ft in height. Beautiful pink blooms. Part sun to shade. Zones 8-11. (They have been cut back to make bushier plants)

Lavandula stoechas "Boysenberry Ruffles" - Lavender

Dusty pink with deeper centers. The bracts atop the flower heads are larger than normal and have distinctly rippled margins giving the unusual ruffled appearance. This series has superior uniformity in growth, a tremendous flower count and a very compact, controlled habit. Reportedly more tolerant of the humid conditions in our northern regions. Height 1-2 ft. Zones 7-11.

  Tibouchina Urvilleana

Vigorous grower that forms majestic mounds of foliage that is covered during the warm months with big beautiful bluish purple flowers. The numerous slender stems are rather vine-like and grow to about 15 ft in length sprawling in all directions to create 10-12 ft  mounds unless pruned into more compact shapes. This fast growing shrub is quick to recover from frost and freeze die-back. It's very attractive bright purple flowers are especially enjoyable and good for cutting. Princess flower is seldom bothered by pest or disease. It's easy to grow and requires little maintenance once established. Prefers afternoon shade in hot areas. Zones 8-12.
